More about the makeup artist
Having started painting at the age of fourteen and using various mediums such as pastels, oil, and charcoal, he was able to translate his visions into works of art. As he matured as an artist, he also dabbled in theater and the performing arts as well as modeling while in high school and in college.
Then, while working in the corporate world, he experimented with photography as another medium, particularly travel and fashion photography, through which he eventually got the chance to reconnect with his first love, beauty. Enamored by the art of making beauty, he pursued it relentlessly, completing certificate courses in Beauty and Glamour Makeup at the HD Makeup Studio and Academy as well as Hair Setting and Design at Wella Studio Professional and Airbrush Makeup at Airbrush Make-Up Manila.
He also had the opportunity to train as an apprentice under, and eventually as a member of the Media Makeup Artist team, of world-renowned makeup artist, Lourd Ramos, who had served as a guest judge at Asia’s Next Top Model, and who also serve as a brand ambassador for TRESemmé (Philippines) and who was also the former brand ambassador of Smashbox Cosmetics in the Philippines.
Today, with a photographer’s eye and an artisan’s skill, he translates his vision of beauty using makeup as a medium on the faces of his clients.
When asked what he has to say about his transformation as an artist, he responds by saying:
Simple. It is just that I’ve always had a love affair with beauty, in whatever form it may be.
