Different lighting requires different makeup products and techniques.
What may go well in theater lighting may look horribly exaggerated in natural lighting.
Thus, it is important to understand the effects of light on the subject being photographed.
As an artist with training in photography, I understand how light affects the overall look of the subject and I adjust the products that I use, as well as the makeup application techniques, to what I believe will be most suitable for the desired look of the photograph.
